Hi my wife and I are in the process of adopting through the child in waiting program (China) and noticed Maddy had a cleft palate. Did she have a cleft lip as well? If so they did a great job fixing it. Just wondering, how old was she when she came home? How quickly was her palate fixed, has she had any hearing or speach issues? Sorry about all the questions. Great blog, keep up the good work.

What a lovely blog, Donna, and your family is adorable! Cinderella Moon would be a great film for them to see once it's out. It's a family film based on the Cinderella story from ancient China (768 AD), and its director, Richard Bowen, is one of the founding members of Half the Sky foundation, an NGO that helps children in orphanages in China. Come and check us out on Facebook! (facebook/cinderellamoon). Are you on Twitter?

Hello, let me first start off by saying how beautiful your family is, I love your blog; My name is Anne Becknell, I have two adopted children of my own. I have recently written and illustrated a children's picture book, God Knew a Baby's Journey Home, about adoption that has been published; I will post the link below. The story explains that every step of the adoption journey is God's plan. Thanks!
