Our playroom storage situation was woefully inadequate so we were eager to find a solution. Unfortunately, our first color choice was white and it's next to impossible to find wall units in that color unless you go to Pottery Barn Kids and shell out the big bucks. After some searching, that's what we finally did.
We're very happy with our purchase though. This unit can be configured many different ways so it'll grow with the kids. but the best part is that all of the toys that were stashed in various location around the house can now be stored and displayed in one place. For example, we often forget that we have Play Doh or sidewalk chalk but now we can see it! Messy stuff is safely stashed behind those doors (with new cabinet door latches attached). There's a place for everything and everything is in it's place! Those drawers are AWESOME by the way. They're impossible to dump out and sturdy enough to survive a 37 pound naughty toddler jumping up and down in them while her equally naughty 25 pound sidekick cheers her on. And they hide all the junk that used to be strewn about the playroom.
The girls love their new shelves and we love them almost enough to justify the insane amount of packing material that we now have to try to get rid of.

My God that is awesome store!

AWESOME.. My husband likes the dark wood one for our family room. I was showing him as one for Maddy's room and he was like.. "whats wrong with one of these for the family room" :-)
Looks great!

I thought of you all this week, we have applied to adopt a second toddler, this time from Vietnam, so I rearranged the house into a 2 kid bedroom and playroom/office. I wanted to go back and look at your new playroom storage unit. It looks great. Stacy
