Ooooh! We liked Avatar!

All our friends told us the girls would love this movie but we were a little bit skeptical.  The creatures on the movie poster look kinda creepy so we just assumed it was going to be to scary.  Well, our friends were right -- the kids loved it!  And so did we!  

This movie is pure eye candy!  There was some cursing in it so we'll probably not buy the DVD when it comes out but the kids still talk about the blue people with the green eyes and Gwen wants to be Neytiri for Halloween. 

Seemed like a good opportunity to play with my new Photoshop program so I created this:

it was many layers and I learned a lot!  I just wish it didn't take me so long to do everything.   I had to call Michael when he was between classes so he could talk me through a few rough spots.  But I think it turned out pretty good!    You can see the original photo <here>

I'd like to see a full length documentary on how they made this movie.  It was really amazing!  The story line was pretty predictable (think Pocahontas) but the special effects were brilliant.
