We're Donna and Andrew from San Francisco Bay Area, California.  We're parents to Michael (21) and Gwendolyn and Madeline (5).  Gwen and Maddy were adopted from China.  Gwen came to us from Shenzhen in Guangdong province and Maddy came from Qinzhou in Guangxi province.  They're 36 days apart in age (virtual twins!) but were adopted just less than one year apart.  This blog is about our family and friends but it focuses mostly on our daughters and China adoption.

Hi there - so glad you got to visit Lynne and co - (they were part of our adoption group). she is super sweet - what an amazing experience... one day I hope we can get our little group of 4 back together...

The girls look so cute in the outfits..Kimberly turns it on as well - the long drawn out Pllllleeeeesssseeee....

I can't wait to see a LONG post about your schedule in China - what works - what did not - who scheduled all your in country planning - etc - tips to traveling with the little ones - I had hoped to go next year for a holiday - but with everything that has recently happened - I am not sure - since Sichuan was one of the areas - K's adoption was finalized in Chengdu... (oh and how about the car seats- did that work-were you able to store them at the hotel?) Well you have my email - if you wish to post all the details just to me...see you at XXX digital scrapbook as well.

OMG! What a CUTE LO! Adorable subjects!

I am glad I get to follow along with your blog!

I am sooo glad you are posting on this blog again. Your girls are adorable and I am sure they know it too! :)Or at least they know how to work their cute-ness factor as all kids do! Glad to see you back in the states!

They are absolutely adorable in their swimsuits! They sure do look like they can turn on the charm!

I had just been thinking how I wish I could keep following your blog........thank you for sticking here! I think our children are growing up on a new frontier of blogging and facebook. I've deleted some posts that I thought might bother Abbey someday before they ever got published and just tried to keep it light fluff, somewhat of a scrapbook.
Love hearing about the girls!

Nice to hear that you are going to use this blog again. :-)

I am so happy that you're posting on this blog again! And your daughters are as adorable as ever.

LOVE those swimsuits and the adorable little sweeties in them :0) We are having chilly weather here (only in the 50's today) but I'm thankful I have that instead of almost 100.!! I can't handle extremely HOT!

Aww so cute. Love the swimsuits.
I bought Emmy a sand/water table today at Toys R Us. That might be something your girls might like.
They can cool off and be creative. We have to wait for a sunny day to open up our table as its been raining in Chicago area.
Thanks for sharing and glad you guys made it back safe/sound and had a fun trip.

So glad to see you're back to posting on this blog. I just love reading all about your adorable little girls and some of your adventures. Thank you!

Glad to hear they were able to get out & enjoy playing in their swimsuits. They look adorable!

So glad your back ;-)

So happy you are back!

Your girls are beautiful! While you all have been getting HOT weather, here in Florida, the weather has been beautiful! I'm hoping that's a permanent trade!;)

I am so glad you decided to post more on this blog. I have missed your posts so much and enjoyed following along to China with you guys 3 times. We leave June 3rd for China and will be traveling to Nanning to get our 6 year old daughter. We will also have a chance to meet someone from Grace & Hope who will take gifts for us to the child we foster and her foster family in Qinzhou. Thank you for posting about sponsoring a child through this organization. It has been a wonderful experience watching the child we sponsor grow.

I'm glad we get to read about your girls again.

I'm so glad you're back!

About a month ago I had been tossing around giving up all my blogs (time issue) but I decided I would just miss it too much.

They are a couple of cuties. Wish Emilia wasn't wearing a swim diaper with hers this season....sigh.

YIPPPPEEEE! I have so missed your blog, creative postings, and beautiful photography, and OF COURSE those beautiful faces!

I'm so glad I didn't delete your blog from my favorites! The girls have gotten so tall and beautiful!

Thrilled to see you back,
Christina

Hi! Welcome back. So glad I checked in today. Gwen and Maddie have grown so much and are as beautiful as ever. And thanks for sharing your trip to China. I've enjoyed reading about it!

Oh, I'm thrilled to see that you've opened your blog back up to the public. I happened upon your blog while waiting to adopt my daughter Leah in 2005, and just thoroughly enjoyed your advice, parenting tips, photography and creativity.

The girls are growing up so beautifully, it's great to see their sweet faces again.
