Family FotoFun Friday Challenge #17

This week's photo challenge is "Sleeping babies". If you don't have your baby yet, feel free to post pictures of sleeping pets or snoring spouses. Please don't forget to leave a comment after you leave your link.
 This "challenge" was particularly challenging since we've successfully used the Ferber method for many months and don't have any pictures of the kids sleeping (since they're always sound asleep in their crib where we don't bother them with flash photography!)
So, I had to dig back into the archives to find a favorite for each child. This one was taken after Gwen fell asleep on the sofa last April. She was so precious! Really, like Sleeping Beauty! Be sure to click on the image to see a better view of that precious sleeping face. |
 This is our Maddy on just our 2nd day as a family (adoption day). It was taken in the Taxi in Nanning, (Guangxi Province, China) as she slept on Daddy's chest after a particularly busy morning of shopping and running amok with Sister.
She was totally attached to Daddy back then. He was the first person to hold her on Gotcha Day and I didn't step in for about 72 hours (my hands were quite full with Gwen). We planned it this way since we wanted to make sure that each parent had one child to care for and neither of us was overwhelmed with two (while the other parent had none). It was a strategy that worked beautifully!
