Updated picture of Madeline!
Here's our timeline for Madeline:
- February 2006 - XiaoXian found us! Petition for adoption sent.
- March 2006 - Updated photo received. XiaoXian is 19 months old. Start homestudy and paperchase
- April 2006 - finish homestudy and paperchase
- May 1, 2006 - turn in dossier documents to USAA. Should also have pre-approval from China by now
- June 2006 - DTC
- September 8th, 2006 (or later) - Travel
We can't travel before our 1 year anniversary of Gwen's adoption but our dossier can go to China before that date. It takes 3 to 4 months for travel authorization after DTC.
Our agency said they'd translate letters to/from the foster parents. We'll also send pictures and gifts to help get her familiar with her far away forever family. I didn't realize how much there is to do! I guess I better get busy, huh! :)
